Tip of the Week: How to Stay Safe on New Years Eve…
What’s New At The Corp:
Happy New Year To All Our Corp Readers!! We have had one heck of a year an we have all of you to thank for it. We promise to make next year even bigger and better than before. Watch out for an some really cool changes to the corp, all for your convenience.
Tip of the Week: How to Stay Safe on New Years Eve…
- Travel in Groups: If you’re going to a celebration, it’s always more fun to party with friends, right?
And truth be told, it’s also much safer. Studies show that an attacker is far less likely to attack a potential victim if they are with more than one person. So be safe from the beginning and travel in groups
- Have a Designated Driver: If you’re going to drink you need to make sure you have a designated driver. This will be the person who will drive everyone home at the end of the night.
But, let’s just hypothetically say the designated driver does not stay dry the whole night. What should you do? Well, if you are at a friends home, who you trust you may want to stay at their home for the night. If you are at a club, be sure to have the bartender call you a cab. You can always come back for your car in the morning.
- Be careful what you drink: So you’re a good looking girl who is looking for a good time on New Years. You step into the party and all the guys want to bring you drinks.
Well, keep em’ coming right?
Um, you may want to hold your horses before you go any further…
Trust me. We here at the corp are by no means trying to spoil your good time. We want you to have fun on New Years. But if you’re going to let some stranger buy you drinks make sure that you see what they are doing before you drink it. Date rape is always an issue, as well as other dangers. So, just by walking with someone to the bar, you can be certain no harm comes to you when you get your free drink… only a hangover and maybe some terrible pick-up lines.
- Come to the Party Packing: And no, we’re not talking about your glock nine either. We’re talking about a stun gun, taser gun, or pepper spray. Truth be told, it is not at all uncommon for things to get out of hand on New Years, and while we all really just want to have a good time, some people just don’t know when to quit.
So, if you find yourself in such a situation, you can rest easy knowing that you have some self defense protection.
So with that tip, we bid you a Happy New Year. As for us at the Corp, we’re off to party.
Farewell and Happy Tidings,
THE CORP
